To address the urgent need for Thai talent at a new factory in Thailand, the Taiwan Printed Circuit Board Association (TPCA) has partnered with the Thailand Trade and Economic Office (TTEO) to organize the "Thai Student PCB Job Fair - Employment Matching for Thai Sun PCB." This job fair aims to bridge the employment needs of Thai students in Taiwan with the requirements of the PCB industry, further enhancing Thai students' understanding of the significance of the PCB industry and promoting bilateral exchanges between Taiwan and Thailand.
Given the geopolitical considerations affecting the PCB industry, several companies have planned investments in new factories in Thailand this year. Hong Ya-yun, Executive Deputy Secretary-General of the Taiwan Printed Circuit Board Association, emphasized that since the easing of the pandemic, the Taiwan PCB supply chain has responded to customer requests for risk diversification by planning to establish new bases in various Southeast Asian countries. With companies gradually announcing investment plans, Thailand is poised to become the third industrial cluster for Taiwanese PCB businesses. The estimated total investment in this wave of investment in Thailand is expected to reach 43 billion Thai Baht, creating over 15,000 job opportunities and making a substantial contribution to the economies of both Thailand and Taiwan.
In order to assist the industry in addressing the urgent need for Thai talent at the new factory in Thailand, thirteen Taiwanese PCB industry enterprises have participated, including Zhen Ding Technology (4958), Wus Printed Circuit (2313), Chin-Poon Industrial (3037), Hustech Electronics, Compeq Manufacturing (2368), Unitech Printed Circuit Board (2367), Wah Lee Industrial, Young Fast Optoelectronics, Shin Wu, Apex Material Technology (8021), Yow How Technology, Dynamic Electronics, and Tian Cheng. These companies engaged in extensive communication and discussions with the participating students on-site. This event provided a platform for Thai students in Taiwan to gain a better understanding of the PCB industry and to become acquainted with Taiwanese companies, potentially leading to their future involvement in the Taiwanese PCB industry and contributing their efforts to Taiwanese companies.
