All the financial reports of the emerging market companies for the year 2019 have been disclosed. Among them, companies in the semiconductor and computer peripherals sectors performed the best. Seven individual companies, including Sheng Jia Electronics, reported an earnings per share (EPS) exceeding their par value. The Taipei Exchange (TPEx) stated that a total of 250 emerging market companies were required to submit their 2019 financial reports. As of April 30, all these companies have completed the submission of their financial reports. The combined total revenue for the emerging market in 2019 amounted to approximately NT$457.5 billion, representing an increase of NT$26.6 billion compared to 2018, a growth rate of approximately 6.1%. The semiconductor industry and computer peripheral equipment industry saw revenue growth rates of 24.3% and 11.1%, respectively, and their profits also grew by 93.1% and 73.6%, respectively, demonstrating impressive performance within their respective sectors.
Regarding earnings per share (EPS), seven companies in 2019 reported an EPS exceeding their par value, which is above NT$10 per share. These companies include Sheng Jia Electronics, Yuansheng, Ying Wei, Yankee Engineering, Green World Technology, RuiDeng, and Fandai Yongye. Thirteen companies reported an EPS between NT$5 and NT$10, while 52 companies reported an EPS between NT$2 and NT$5. In total, 72 companies reported an EPS of at least NT$2, accounting for 28.8% of all emerging market companies. Furthermore, the number of profitable companies reached 159, accounting for 63.6% of all emerging market companies. This indicates that there are many fundamentally sound companies in the emerging market, making it an area of interest for investors.
