【News Report】Emerging Market Companies Exhibit Strong Financial Performance in 2019, Particularly in the Semiconductor and Computer Peripheral Sectors
The GreTai Securities Market Center (GTSM) has reported that all 250 emerging market companies have completed the filing of their financial reports for the fiscal year 2019 by April 30th. The total revenue for these companies amounted to approximately NT$457.5 billion, representing a year-on-year increase of 6.18%. Among these, the semiconductor and computer peripheral equipment industries exhibited the most impressive revenue and profit performance. The GTSM stated that 250 emerging market companies were required to file their financial reports for the fiscal year 2019, and as of April 30th, 2020, all of them had completed the submission of their financial reports. Out of the total revenue reported by these 250 emerging market companies for the fiscal year 2019, the semiconductor industry saw a revenue growth of 24.36%, while the computer peripheral equipment industry's revenue increased by 11.17%. Their profits also increased significantly, with the semiconductor industry showing a profit growth of 93.10% and the computer peripheral equipment industry with a profit growth of 73.65%, showcasing remarkable performance among various industry sectors.
In terms of earnings per share (EPS), seven companies for the fiscal year 2019 reported an EPS exceeding one share's par value, which is over NT$10 per share. There were thirteen companies with an EPS between NT$5 and NT$10, and fifty-two companies with an EPS between NT$2 and NT$5. In total, seventy-two companies had an EPS of at least NT$2, accounting for 28.80% of all emerging market companies. Among them, one hundred and fifty-nine companies in the emerging market sector showed profitability for the fiscal year, constituting 63.60% of all emerging market companies. Notably, seven emerging market companies achieved an EPS exceeding NT$10 for the fiscal year 2019. Sheng Jia Electronics (6732) topped the list with an EPS of NT$35.1, followed by Yuansheng with an EPS of NT$23.75, and Ying Wei with an EPS of NT$19. Other companies included Yankee Engineering with an EPS of NT$12.92, Green World Technology with an EPS of NT$12.48, RuiDeng with an EPS of NT$10.34, and Fandai Yongye with an EPS of NT$10.2.
