[Social Care] Yankey Engineering Donates NT$2 million to Aid Hualien Earthquake Disaster Area
On April 3rd, a magnitude 7.2 earthquake struck Hualien County, causing severe damage to the disaster area and impacting the homes of many residents.
Yankey Engineering demonstrated corporate care by donating NT$2 million to the Taiwan Foundation for Disaster Relief under the Ministry of Health and Welfare, setting an example and calling on all sectors of society to join in disaster relief efforts. This assistance aims to help affected residents overcome their difficulties, rebuild their homes, and contribute to Taiwan's recovery.
Taiwan Foundation for Disaster Relief , under the Ministry of Health and Welfare, was established with the assistance of the Executive Yuan and focuses primarily on providing relief to disaster victims. It has previously assisted in humanitarian efforts such as fundraising for Ukraine in 2022 and coordinating relief efforts for the 2013 Turkey earthquake, including airlifting Taiwan's National Fire Agency's Search and Rescue teams and coordinating domestic non-profit organizations to provide assistance to Turkey.
In response to the Hualien earthquake on April 3rd, which caused damage to lives and property, recovery and rebuilding efforts are now underway. In line with the spirit of disaster relief, the Relief Foundation has established a fundraising account in accordance with the Public Welfare Fundraising Act to accept donations from both domestic and international sources. These funds will be used to assist in disaster relief, emergency medical care, shelter and resettlement, and reconstruction efforts for the affected areas and people, helping them through this difficult time.
